Our client trusted Dot. to bridge the gap between the ever-increasing necessity to acquire audio-visual content quickly and traditional contract templates, which implied up to 6 months of negotiations.
THE BRIEF
We condensed a 26-page document into two one-pager negotiation guides: one for drama program procurement and another for all other types of procurement. The end result looks and feels like YLE, and it’s based on extensive user research, making it understandable even for non-lawyers. The left-hand side of the guide contains vital financial terms that affect IP rights negotiations. The center section covers key commercial terms and conditions to be negotiated, while the right-hand side contains standard terms that are not open to negotiation.
THE OUTCOME
Taking a transparent and user-centric approach assists our client in securing new media production partnerships within weeks instead of months while being grounded on trust, responsibility, and openness.
